Saturday, July 29th 2006, Memorial Brunch.  The CRCEC met with various community leaders and a representative from Apple Computers for brunch at Brooklyn Tabernacle Learning Center.  The attendees introduced themselves and each spoke briefly about Christopher Rose and what he meant to them.  Sharon Rose then presented and launched an overview of CRCEC's Mission and Goals.

The Christopher Rose Bushkill Steering Comittee has planted  japanese blood maple tree at East Stroudsbergh High school. The ceremony was a memorable event not soon forgotten to the Bushkill/ East Stroudsberg Community.

December 8, 2005, Second Arraignment of the Suspect Arrested for Christopher's Murder

The arraignment took place in the Brooklyn courts.  The defendant was denied bail.

October 6, 2005, First Arraignment of the Suspect Arrested for Christopher's Murder

The arraignment took place in the Brooklyn courts.  The defendant was denied bail.

September 24, 2005, Anti-Violence March for the Community in Memory of Christopher Rose

The march served as a successful wake-up call to the community, pointing out the reality that this thriving neighborhood is being threatened by increasing violence and encouraging community members to act now, before the violence overtakes the area.

August 27, 2005 Community Empowerment Activities in Pennsylvania

Black Leather

A healing service honoring Christopher's life was held on Saturday, August 27th at the Fernwood Resort in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. The service provided Christopher's classmates and neighbors in the Bushkill community with a Memorial event and the kick-off to efforts to curtail the start of youth violence activities in the area.

A Posthumous Proclamation awarded to Christopher's Parents on August 8, 2005

A posthumus proclamation award in Christopher's honor was given to Christopher's parents, Errol and Sharon Rose by the NYC Council on August 8, 2005 at City Hall. The award was iniitated by the honorable Yvette Clark, Councilwoman honoring outstanding citizens of Jamaican Heritage in honor of Jamaica's 43rd anniversary independence.

July 2, 2005 -               Christopher Rose killed in Brooklyn over a friend’s Ipod.

July 8, 2005 -              Funeral Service and Press Conference at Brooklyn Tabernacle Church

July 9, 2005 -               Burial for Christopher Rose at Cypress Hills Cemetery

July 14, 2005 -            First Meeting of the Family Coordinating Committee to establish the Christopher Rose Community Empowerment Campaign Initiative.

August 8, 2005 -          Post Humus Community Service Award presented by NYC City Council

August 11, 2005 -        Members of the Christopher Rose Campaign marched with Danny King’s Youth Against Violence Movement in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

August 10, 2005 -         Interview by CNN as follow up to Christopher’s death and planned Community Initiative

August 15, 2005 -        Interview by BCAT’s Channel 69 regarding Campaign Initiative activities

August 18, 2005 -        First Community Meeting held in East Flatbush

August 27, 2005 -        First Community Memorial Event held in Bushkill, PA

September 24, 2005 - Community March Against Youth Violence held in Brooklyn

October 24, 2005 -     First Community Steering Committee Meeting held in Brooklyn
