Hello and Welcome to our Brooklyn Community webpage. On this page we plan to share
our ideas and efforts on behalf of the community in Brooklyn.
Christopher was killed in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn and we would like to concentrate
our initial efforts on strengthening this community so that it is better prepared to ward of the gang violence which is beginning
to encroach upon this vibrant and beautiful neighborhood before it is too late. We hope that with time and the success
of our efforts in East Flatbush, we will be able to expand to other neighborhoods in Brooklyn!

We are in the initial stages of forming the Brooklyn Steering Committee
of the Christopher Rose Community Empowerment Campaign.
One of our primary goals will be to raise community awareness not only of the growing
threat of gang violence, but also of ways to combat it.
Please join us by sending us an email for more information.

Get to know your neighbors!
Do you you know your neighbors? How many of them do you know by face? As we increase
efforts to be vigilant about crimes in our community, let's get to know each other. That's what this night is for.
It is also an opportunity for us to begin to discuss the best approach to ridding East Flatbush of violent crime.
September 24, 2005, Anti-Violence March for the Community in
Memory of Christopher Rose |
|
The march served as a successful wake-up call to the community, pointing out the reality that this thriving neighborhood
is being threatened by increasing violence and encouraging community members to act now, before the violence overtakes the
area.
